In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to blend astrology and tarot cards through the mapping of personal planets, decans and the tarot symbols. Whether you’re new to tarot or already familiar with the cards, we’ll get together for a fun day practicing how to combine astrology and the visual ‘hero’s journey’ of the cards to add depth to your readings and self-development.
We’ll explore:
- The basics of interpreting the tarot cards
- Which tarot cards correspond to the location of your personal planets and how they map to your chart.
- How to use tarot to enhance your Astrology readings.
You’ll need to bring:
- A Rider-Waite-Smith style tarot deck
- Your birth chart (printed out)
- Pen/pencil and notebook

Deb Osfeld began studying astrology in 2020 while working her 9-5 job. Now happily retired from the corporate world, she focuses full-time on passion projects- creating, learning, planting, and exploring, often all at the same time! She has served as the NCGR Chapter Director in 2025 and is currently the Recording Secretary of the Sacramento Chapter of the NCGR, with long-time interests in astrology, tarot, herbalism, dowsing, psi, and genealogy. Member of: NCGR, OPA, IANDS, American Herbalist Guild, American Society of Dowsers.

Horary is without peer in the astrology world for the ability to answer almost any question with speed and accuracy.
The principles upon which horary astrology is based are the same principles used for all branches of astrology. The difference is context .The focus of most horary questions is the short-term immediate future. Compare this to natal astrology where the focus is on a lifetime. With horary astrology there is no need to spend time consulting derived charts such as progressions, profections and solar arcs. The chart for the horary horoscope is complete. Embedded into its structure is the answer to the question.
Peter Burns took up astrology in the late 1980’s, received his Astrology Diploma (FAA) in 1997, was VAA president 2006-2008, national editor of the Federation of Australian Astrologers (FAA) Journal 2000-2015, was awarded Fellow membership of the FAA in 2011; was guest speaker on ABC radio in WA and 3RRR in Melbourne, published “The Palmistry Textbook” in 2011, has lectured in Australia and USA.
