Deepening Your Natal Chart Understanding Through Tarot

In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to blend astrology and tarot cards through the mapping of personal planets, decans and the tarot symbols. Whether you’re new to tarot or already familiar with the cards, we’ll get together for a fun day practicing how to combine astrology and the visual ‘hero’s journey’ of the cards to add depth to your readings and self-development.
We’ll explore:
- The basics of interpreting the tarot cards
- Which tarot cards correspond to the location of your personal planets and how they map to your chart.
- How to use tarot to enhance your Astrology readings.
You’ll need to bring:
- A Rider-Waite-Smith style tarot deck
- Your birth chart (printed out)
- Pen/pencil and notebook

Deb Osfeld began studying astrology in 2020 while working her 9-5 job. Now happily retired from the corporate world, she focuses full-time on passion projects- creating, learning, planting, and exploring, often all at the same time! She has served as the NCGR Chapter Director in 2025 and is currently the Recording Secretary of the Sacramento Chapter of the NCGR, with long-time interests in astrology, tarot, herbalism, dowsing, psi, and genealogy. Horary is without peer in the astrology world for the ability to answer almost any question with speed and accuracy.
The principles upon which horary astrology is based are the same principles used for all branches of astrology. The difference is context .The focus of most horary questions is the short-term immediate future. Compare this to natal astrology where the focus is on a lifetime. With horary astrology there is no need to spend time consulting derived charts such as progressions, profections and solar arcs. The chart for the horary horoscope is complete. Embedded into its structure is the answer to the question.

We are experiencing a consciousness explosion as the planet of networked ideas, Uranus, meets the planet of spiritual destiny, Sedna, in Gemini, the sign of personal consciousness. Family Patterns, Timing, and Collective Events

Major life events appear simultaneously in the charts of connected family members. The Universe organizes timing across family systems in a remarkably ordered way, and this workshop explores how those patterns become visible through events.
We will examine how family members are connected through shared degree patterns within the same modalities and how transits activate multiple charts at once, revealing the underlying architecture of collective patterns.
Using the modal cross as a foundational predictive framework and structural lens, we will learn to track how events move through a family system, revealing both individual experiences and shared timing.
Through real chart examples and participant charts, we will practice using multi-synastry techniques and transit wheels to understand how collective family events unfold and how prediction becomes significantly more precise when we expand our perspective beyond a single chart and begin working with the family system as a whole.
We’ll explore:
- The modal cross as a structural framework for family systems and predictive astrology
- How transits and family events activate multiple charts simultaneously
