Dane Rudhyar has been called the most influential astrologer since Ptolemy. He was the pre-eminent spiritual astrologer of the 20th century and his work continues to influence almost all of modern astrology.
Rudhyar was one of the founders of psychological astrology and went on to create humanistic astrology, transpersonal astrology and he planted the seeds for evolutionary astrology. Like many geniuses, Rudhyar was far ahead of his time, and his teachings will inspire generations of astrologers. Rudhyar may well serve as a point of synthesis for the coming astrology — an astrology that brings together rediscovered ancient techniques and modern evolutionary philosophy.
Rudhyar is most widely known for his astrology, but he also left profound spiritual and metaphysical teachings that are just as important and fascinating. He lived a long and creative life, writing his most important metaphysical works between the ages of 70 and 90. We’ll focus on these rich and vibrant teachings and how they can speed the process of spiritual growth and evolution. This will be a clear, easy to understand explanation of Rudhyar’s most esoteric teachings.
Chet Zdrowski has been a student and practitioner of astrology since 1977. He studied for several years with the late Richard Idemon, and is deeply influenced by the work of Dane Rudhyar and Robert Hand. Since 2005 he has studied with Steven Forrest in his Evolutionary Astrology Apprenticeship program. Psychology, meditation, perennial philosophy and music are also lifelong passions. Everyone lives through three incarnations simultaneously at any moment. They are represented as three different lives that are most crucial for our development. Finding a way to unite them means liberation and represents the final goal of Hermetic Astrology. In this lecture we will define those three different incarnations we live all the time and also we’ll describe a way to unite those different lives in order to create one real Cosmic Life, that represents our True Being.
Time is a circular, or more precisely – spiral. So, past or future events defined in the Time spiral, no matter how far from now, are always connected with us through strings between incarnations, and therefore significantly influence the life that we live now. More than that – events that are happening in previous incarnations represent cornerstones in one’s (current) destiny.

His work is based on a synthesis of Western and Eastern traditions of knowledge, and his special interests are in the fields of fixed stars, karmic astrology, and astro-healing.

One of the most important steps in chart interpretation is understanding the dynamics between the zodiac signs. Grasping the essence of the signs and their points of similarity and difference are the keys to successful natal, forecasting and synastry work. Some connections are easy to spot, such as the freedom-focused, future-orientated duo of Sagittarius and Aquarius, or the home, hearth, gardens and cuisine combo of Cancer and Taurus. But what of Leo and Capricorn? Cancer and Libra? Aries and Virgo?
In truth, every pairing has themes in common, as well as components that don’t easily fall into place, but pinpointing the “heart” of its connection – the essence of its relationship – often requires further detective work. With many chart examples, we’ll spend the day learning to suss out and articulate the dynamics between the signs – how they can really work with each other – so bring along your own charts and stories, too.

MORNING LECTURE
Interpreting the Rulers of the Houses and Timing Their Activation
One of the keys to chart delineation is learning how to interpret the rulers of the 12 houses when they are in different houses. For example, what does it mean when the ruler of the 7th house is in the 11th house, or when ruler of the 10th is in the 9th? In this lecture attendees will learn how to interpret these placements, as well as how to identify when the topics associated with them will become activated at specific times in the life of the native by using a timing technique known as annual profections.
AFTERNOON WORKSHOP
Timing Peaks and Transitions in Your Career, Health, and Relationships
In this workshop you will learn how to time peak periods and transitions in a person’s career and life direction by using an ancient timing technique known as Zodiacal Releasing (ZR). This technique was only recently rediscovered through the translation of a 2nd century text, and it is quickly becoming recognized as one of the most powerful and effective predictive techniques available today.
Attendees will receive a detailed handout with their own periods (if pre-registered by March 27), and they will learn how to use the technique to determine high and low points in their career, as well as periods in which job changes are more likely. Later we will discuss how the technique can also be applied to other topics such as health and relationships.
TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THIS WORKSHOP:
Chris recommends that you compile a chronology of important events and turning points in your life, primarily with respect to career and overall life direction. This will come in handy as you learn the technique at the workshop. Even if you don’t have a chance to write out a full chronology, at least spend some time thinking about your past and try to construct an outline of some of the most important events in your life so far.

Chris Brennan is a professional astrologer from Denver, Colorado. He was educated at Kepler College, where he focused on cross-cultural comparisons between the astrological traditions. He is the former President of the Association for Young Astrologers, and the former Research Director of the National Council for Geocosmic Research. He currently works as an associate editor for The Mountain Astrologer magazine, and serves on the board of Kepler College. He specializes in the Greco-Roman tradition of astrology known as Hellenistic astrology, and his forthcoming book on the subject is titled Hellenistic Astrology: The Study of Fate and Fortune. As a student of Evolutionary Astrology under the tutelage of Steven Forrest and Esoteric Astrology under the tutelage of Alan Oken – I have found that both systems complement each other. In Evolutionary Astrology we look to Pluto and the Nodes, using a psychological approach to tell us what our wounds are, where they came from and the hurdles we must traverse to heal. As Steven Says” “Everything in the chart is about integration.”
Esoteric Astrology focuses on the purpose of the soul through planetary rulerships and the seven rays. Therefore, the natal chart is delineated from a Soul Centered perspective – showing us our Soul or Higher Mind’s intention concerning how we are to contribute to the evolution of humanity. It is a system that not only shows you what your Soul’s intent is, but also gives you the Souls highest potential in a given incarnation. After you have evolved to a certain point, your traditional chart feels like who you were. The rulers of the chart no longer represent who you are.
Esoteric Astrology is a system to be used in conjunction with other systems; it is the icing on the cake, so to speak. This system gives each of us the goal of our lives – along with the road map to reach it.
The purpose of this talk is to introduce you to Esoteric Astrology. The focus will be on the esoteric meanings of each sign; the esoteric planetary rulers; and the seven rays that give the planets their energy along with sample chart readings.
Marie O’Neill (MBA) is the founder of Padma Life Coaching located in Santa Rosa California. Her specialties are: Astrology, Past Life Regression, Life Coaching and Tarot.
