Dwarf Planet
Astrology

Sunday, May 17, 2020
2 – 4 pm, Pacific time

Discover the evolutionary spiritual power of Sedna, the new esoteric outer limit of our solar system and learn of the profound implications for society and for each of us individually in the coming years, as she approaches her closest point to Earth. The discovery of these new dwarf planets represents an evolutionary change in consciousness that is available to us at this time. In this talk Alan provides a framework to understand our busy new solar system and how the dwarf planets extend traditional astrology into a richer and more spiritual perspective on the chart.

New Zealander Alan Clay has been a practising astrologer for over 40 years, with a background as a humanistic astrologer inspired by the work of Dane Rudhyar. Over the past 20 years this has broadened into a study of Chiron and the Centaurs and more recently into the newly discovered Dwarf Planets. His book, ‘Sedna Consciousness, the Soul’s Path of Destiny’ was very well received at it’s launch at UAC in Chicago and reviewers have called it: ‘a groundbreaking book’, ‘essential reading for astrologers’, ‘a well-written, well-researched, and easily readable book’, and ‘a treasure trove of information and inspiration’. March 26 – Rick Levine, 12 Steps to Better Chart Readings

Lecture and Workshop Event

Rick Levine

March 26, 2017

Lecture (Part 1): 10 a.m – 12 noon
Workshop (Part 2): 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

12 Practical Steps to Better Chart Readings

Whether you’re doing readings for fun or money, whether you’re doing 15-minute or 90-minute sessions, the approach is the same. Einstein wrote, “99% of genius is knowing what’s important.” You have plenty of techniques in your toolbox yet seek something more in your client work. This practical hands-on workshop will improve your chart consultation skills by presenting useful concepts designed to alter your approach and enable you to more profoundly touch your clients. But concepts only go so far. This workshop will focus on where the rubber meets the road. We will gather birth data for random participants and these charts of attendees will be analyzed in real time by Rick to demonstrate natal delineation and transit interpretation techniques. Participant’s charts will be projected real time for all attendees to learn from each other’s charts. Emphasis will be on getting to what’s most important quickly, enabling attendees to speed-read a natal chart along with outer planet transits

LECTURE

During the first half of this lecture we will explore the four Venusian Asteroid Goddesses and discover how they each represent unique qualities of the Venus archetype:

– Juno: The Goddess of Right Relationship
– Vesta: The Goddess of Light & Spirituality
– Pallas Athena: The Goddess of Right Action
– Ceres: The Goddess of Nurturance

This year’s first Solar Eclipse is occurring on this very day in the mystical sign of Pisces!

During the second half of the lecture we will shift gears and discuss Eclipse energies. This will be a particularly exciting opportunity to learn more about how Eclipses contain the potential to release, renew, and transform our natal charts. Join Linda as we embrace this Eclipse and its Astrological message in our lives.

We will conclude with a quick trip around the Zodiac to delineate more specific meanings of her placement in individual signs and houses.

Larry Landis began studying astrology around 1990 after being intrigued by a Linda Goodman book on relationships. He was self-taught for many years, absorbing any and all astrology books and magazines that came his way. The asteroid Vesta was recently visited by the NASA spacecraft Dawn, so as we slowly learn more about the physical nature of Vesta, the principle of “As Above, So Below” infers that our understanding of the astrological nature of Vesta will also increase.

After a brief introduction into the discovery of the four Goddess asteroids (Ceres, Vesta, Juno and Pallas Athene) in the early 1800’s and the consequential reintroduction of the feminine into modern astrology, we will concentrate on the brightest of the four, Vesta. We will begin by looking at the original mythological story about Vesta and how that translates into modern astrology, using the seminal work by Demetra George and Douglas BlochAsteroid Goddesses, as a starting point.
