Eclipses are historically known as transformational and often intense periods, both individually and collectively. On the personal level, Eclipses act in a particularly potent manner that can initiate rebirth, transformation, and regeneration.

During this lecture we will take a cosmic exploration into the Astrological meaning of Eclipses. Together, we will discover how the upcoming September duo relates to your personal Destiny. You will also learn how to detect the difference between a South Node vs. North Node Eclipse, and how to apply this understanding to your life.

A Master Astrologer with more than 25 years of experience, Linda Kaye holds a B.A. in Astrological Arts and Sciences from Kepler College in Seattle. She teaches workshops and classes and leads seasonal events timed to planetary happenings, while maintaining a busy Roseville, Calif.-based astrological practice where she conducts client sessions in person, by phone and through Skype. Dane Rudhyar has been called the most influential astrologer since Ptolemy. He was the pre-eminent spiritual astrologer of the 20th century and his work continues to influence almost all of modern astrology.

Rudhyar was one of the founders of psychological astrology and went on to create humanistic astrology, transpersonal astrology and he planted the seeds for evolutionary astrology. Like many geniuses, Rudhyar was far ahead of his time, and his teachings will inspire generations of astrologers. Rudhyar may well serve as a point of synthesis for the coming astrology — an astrology that brings together rediscovered ancient techniques and modern evolutionary philosophy.

Rudhyar is most widely known for his astrology, but he also left profound spiritual and metaphysical teachings that are just as important and fascinating. He lived a long and creative life, writing his most important metaphysical works between the ages of 70 and 90. We’ll focus on these rich and vibrant teachings and how they can speed the process of spiritual growth and evolution. This will be a clear, easy to understand explanation of Rudhyar’s most esoteric teachings.

Chet Zdrowski has been a student and practitioner of astrology since 1977. He studied for several years with the late Richard Idemon, and is deeply influenced by the work of Dane Rudhyar and Robert Hand. Since 2005 he has studied with Steven Forrest in his Evolutionary Astrology Apprenticeship program. Psychology, meditation, perennial philosophy and music are also lifelong passions. Chet’s approach is grounded in the real world experiences of parenting, marriage, business and the work world. His greatest pleasure is to alert people to their unique gifts, to inspire them to move forward on their unique individual path, and to help them move through the patterns that limit them and cause unhappiness. Astrological symbols evolve over time, just as people and societies do. How did the Lunar Nodes get “spiritual” in the West? How did the Lunar Nodes get more “psychological” in India? In this presentation we will look at the mythology of the lunar nodes and the development of how they are used in India and in the West; traditional and modern teachings will be explored.

The lunar nodes have been used for many centuries in India; in fact they are considered shadow planets. In the West they have taken an increasingly prominent role. We will explore the cultural influences that have moved in both directions. We will look at the ground breaking teachings of Rudhyar, Jeff Green, Steven Forrest and others that have shaped how the nodal axis is seen in modern astrology. We will also explore the teachings of some modern Indian astrologers who are expanding their tradition, such as Bepin Behari, Komilla Sutton and Prash Trevadi. On the surface there are major differences, but by going deeper we can find some common threads and themes that will help to understand this vital axis.

Chet Zdrowski

Chet Zdrowski began studying astrology in 1977 with the psychological approach of renowned astrologer Richard Idemon and later the transpersonal astrology of Dane Rudhyar and Steve Arroyo. For the past seven years he has studied in Steven Forrest’s Evolutionary Astrology Apprenticeship program, learning a deep fusion of psychological, transpersonal astrology with ancient metaphysics. Chet combines the depth of his understanding of astrology with a strong desire to help people discover their unique gifts and evolutionary paths.

Chart Interpretation

Following the presentation on Lunar Nodes, we’ll be looking at the chart of one of our members. Join our mailing list to receive more chart details.

IMPORTANT! Chart Interpretation Guidelines. Thank you for becoming familiar with the attached Guidelines for Chart Interpretation Meetings. It is extremely important, especially when looking at personal charts in a group, that we create an atmosphere of safety and non-judgment in helping others learn more about their astrological map. Another key concept is that the owner of the chart is the ultimate authority on what resonates to him or her. These concepts will “go without saying” for many of us, but we’re a group open to the public and individuals vary in their sensitivity to these issues. Thank you for reading the guidelines and following them.

About Chart Interpretation Meetings: Mastery of chart reading skills is where the rubber hits the road, transferring theory to practice in astrology. The Leadership Team feels this type of meeting serves many purposes:

  • Sharpen our skills on what’s important in a chart reading
  • Increase our chart synthesis skills
  • Increase confidence in our interpretations
  • Enjoy the support of others at all ends of the learning spectrum on chart reading in an environment of non-judgment and encouragement
  • Get live practice or be the live recipient of pooled astrological knowledge
