Our cosmos is alive and breaths through the universal concept of Yin/Yang. Astrology provides a means to access and participate with this respiration process. For years, Larry has been using his Gemini Mercury/South Node tools to gather information from various fields, including science, astrology, shamanism and numerology to understand this process and combine it all into a Sagittarian North Node theory.
Larry Landis has been studying astrology since the early 1990’s, when he happened upon Linda Goodman’s “Love Signs”. After years of self-study, he began his formal study under Tom Lescher (Kaypacha) and then completed Level Two of Steven Forrest’s Astrological Apprenticeship Program. Larry is an active member and treasurer of NCGR-Sacramento Area.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

From the moment that we take our first breath we have joined in a dance with the great celestial clock that is our solar system. Just as we can see the hands move on a clock, we can see (either with our eyes or a telescope) the planets transiting around us. But what about the gears inside that we can’t see, the movement behind the movement. That is what progressions are all about.
Join us this afternoon as Larry Landis explains and differentiates the three most common types of progressions used in astrology today; the secondary, tertiary and minor progressions.

The asteroid Vesta was recently visited by the NASA spacecraft Dawn, so as we slowly learn more about the physical nature of Vesta, the principle of “As Above, So Below” infers that our understanding of the astrological nature of Vesta will also increase.
After a brief introduction into the discovery of the four Goddess asteroids (Ceres, Vesta, Juno and Pallas Athene) in the early 1800’s and the consequential reintroduction of the feminine into modern astrology, we will concentrate on the brightest of the four, Vesta. We will begin by looking at the original mythological story about Vesta and how that translates into modern astrology, using the seminal work by Demetra George and Douglas Bloch, Asteroid Goddesses, as a starting point. Here are some people having a good time at Gemini Brett's presentation on eclipses at the end of March. Our first in-person meeting/lecture since before Covid was held at a lovely venue in Sacramento. We could not have chosen a more exciting topic. Some of us were even heading straight for that total solar eclipse in just a few more days. ... See MoreSee Less
Please join us for a stay-at-home webinar with Frank Clifford on Sunday, April 28. Frank will be presenting some helpful examples and suggestions for all astrologers who are faced at times with a natal chart for their client that feels a bit intimidating to us, or a chart with challenging transits or measurements coming up that need to be addressed. That little feeling of dread happens to all astrologers once in awhile, even the experienced ones. How do we handle a hard aspect from Saturn or Pluto, for instance? How do we tell the client without worrying them too much, and yet still emphasize the importance of it? There is a learning curve to this skill, and is an essential attribute for any good astrologer to develop. Frank has been giving readings for 35 years, and he has lectured in a dozen countries. He also teaches astrology online through the London School of Astrology. We are happy to have him as a guest lecturer for our community. All are invited. Preregistration is available on our website at www.ncgrsacramento.org . Step one is payment, step two is registration to receive the Zoom link for this webinar. ... See MoreSee Less
NCGR INTERNATIONAL WEBINARS Presents A FREE Webinar for All! This webinar will be given in English. Galactic Astrology—Markers of Our Deep Ancestors' Connection to Stars by Julia Balaz Ireland NCG
Just hours before the penumbral lunar eclipse that precedes a total solar eclipse by 14 days, an eclipse that slices through the United States as it did just seven years ago, astrologer Gemini Brett will be available outdoors for "sky training"! That is, if it does not rain. Shhhh; and he'll be doing that after three hours of lecturing and leading a workshop for us. It will be an evening to remember, for sure! "The Way of the Dragon" workshop will illuminate for us the mysteries of the eclipse occurences, and the path of the Lunar Nodes as the Sun and Moon make their encounters time and time again. We'll look at our own prenatal eclipse points to understand what it means for us in our life, and Brett will also speak of the often misunderstood Black Moon Lilith....and so much more. After a pot luck dinner, during which we can visit and share the dish we have brought with us (or had delivered), we will have a sky training session outdoors and view the full Moon rising while the Sun sets in the West. Brett will point out the significance the night's Mercury setting in the West, and show us how to see just where is the Midheaven and our position in the galaxy. Brett is a "ceslestial conversationalist", a star story teller, and a seer of sacred astronomy, and he has been sharing his epertise on this with others with passion and dedication. The cost of enjoying this workshop will be $60 for NCGR members and $75 for nonmembers, and if you show up after the workshop, it will be $15 for members and $25 for nonmembers for the sky viewing session with Brett. So, come 'round with us, or be square! ... See MoreSee Less
We wish to thank all of you who made donations during the pandemic “lockdown” period.
You made it possible for us to offer our presentations for free, but who’d have imagined it would last for so long? We find it necessary to start charging a small fee in order to continue to bring you top quality speakers.
Starting in 2022, our fees are now $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
(As always, scholarships are available and donations are appreciated.)
