The Sagittarius new moon is a time of new beginnings. A good time to announce our schedule for 2016! As you will see, it’s a great one. Matching speakers with dates with topics is like putting a 3d puzzle together, and it’s always magical how it works out. Guest speakers are coming from as far away as Amsterdam, Hawaii and Serbia to speak to us next year. NCGR Sacramento is back on the map as a destination for world class astrologers!

EVENT CANCELLED
– so sorry!
November 12: You’re not going to believe this! We’re sorry to have to tell you that we’re needing to cancel Alexandra Karacostas’s Two-part Event on Relationships scheduled for this Sunday, November 15. Uranus is conjunct our Mercury and talk about sudden change! On Monday we find out that our usual meeting place is being remodeled and unavailable. Tuesday, after much searching, we find a replacement venue. Wednesday we get an email from our speaker, profusely apologizing that she’ll not be able to make it due to a family crisis. What are the odds? We considered trying to find a replacement, but frankly Alexandra is irreplaceable and the clues are too big to ignore. We’ve never had either of these happen before and to have them both occur for this one event, makes us think that we aren’t supposed to be talking about relationships with so much energy in Scorpio! Seriously, we’ve never cancelled anything before, so this was a very hard decision.
We thank you for your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I guess we’re practicing being mutable. I hope that you’ll be joining us for our holiday gathering, with predictions for 2016, on December 13 and for Eric Meyer’s Two-Part Lecture and Workshop event in January.
Wishing you a joyful and happy Thanksgiving,
Linda

5th Annual Open House
Laugh and Learn How Astrology Can Help You Navigate These Fast-Changing Times
SPECIAL EVENT:
Sunday, October 18, 2015
1:00 – 4:00 PM
Free Admission
Come by, have fun, and participate in astrology research!
This event is open to the public and designed for the “astro-curious”, as well as the already starry-eyed. The mission of Sacramento Area Astrologers is to be ambassadors for astrology in our community. We especially welcome newcomers to astrology. Our activities will include the following:
-
Introduction and Announcements
-
Presentation and Discussion: Astrology and Physical Manifestation
This year we will focus on the physical manifestation of the signs and planet energies in faces, body types and mannerisms. Inspired by the website, Astrofaces.com, we will explore their basic question: “Do people who share the three most prominent factors in a chart resemble each other?” Which leads to other questions – what if they share the same Ascendant, Moon or Sun sign? In other words, do all Aries Ascendants, for instance, wear a similar mask?
-
Contribute a Photo to Astrology Research
If you’d like to contribute your picture to the official Astrofaces research study, our talented photographer, Barbara Crow will be set up to take your picture for submission. Bring your birth date, time and location. (If you prefer, you may bring a copy of an old or new photo with a clear close view of your face from the front for us to submit, but we still need your birth info or at least your Sun Moon and Ascendant signs.)
-
Used Astrology Book and Stuff Sale
Donate books you no longer need and buy new ones for bargain prices. Remember, NCGR is a nonprofit so you can write off your donation! Find bargains on books, mugs, and other re-treasured items their last owners are ready to share.*
-
Mini-Astrology Readings with our talented astrologers*
We are offering readings for only $20 by our prominent professional astrologers: Linda Kaye, Chet Zdrowski and Barbara Ybarra. Be sure to sign-up early and bring your chart, or birth time, if possible.
-
Munch and Chat
As always, we have really good snacks!!
Bring your birth date, place and time or a copy of your chart, if you have one.
Stay, ask questions, and get to know us!
If you have friends who are curious about Astrology, bring them along. It’s FREE!
*Proceeds from these optional activities support our ongoing educational programs. NCGR-Sacramento Area astrologers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Lecture and Workshop Event
Faye Cossar
September 27, 2015
Lecture: 10 a.m – 12 noon
The Inner Child, Astrology and making now better
Workshop: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Siblings – whether we love them or hate them – they matter!
Featured Planet: Venus
MORNING LECTURE
The Inner Child, Astrology and making now better
Patterns inherited or developed early in life have a significant influence later in life – particularly very early experiences in the womb, around birth and in our first years. Childhood experiences of difficulties in family relationships can lead to troubled contacts in adulthood both at work and at home. Good family environments can foster our natural talents. The expectations we form about the world are very important. By examining horoscope factors and using the Huber Age Progression technique, Faye will discuss examples from Inner Child and Regression therapy and suggest ways to work with these patterns.
AFTERNOON WORKSHOP
Siblings – whether we love them or hate them – they matter!
The relationships formed with siblings can indicate how we relate to members of our own peer group. Much attention has been given to parent-child contacts, but sibling dynamics are equally important. Studying these factors can be valuable in improving both relationships with siblings and with our peers and intimate partners. Although it is often said that ‘we marry our mother/father’, it may perhaps be more accurate in some cases to say that ‘we marry our brother/sister’. We will use Inner Child techniques to highlight patterns so bring your horoscopes with Koch Houses so we can discuss your own examples.
