Ahead of the Jupiter in Libra opposing Uranus in Aries transit in December 2016 and throughout 2017, we will explore this 14-year cycle to gain greater insight into this complex fusion of influences.

Planets in Aspect to the Nodal Axis: The Portal of Evolution
The Nodal Axis reflects in our chart a central axis of evolution. When a New Moon or a Full Moon occurs on the Nodes, there is an eclipse which dramatically intensifies evolutionary processes. The same goes for other planets in direct aspect to the Nodes – they dramatically shift and direct the course of our lives.
Maurice will discuss the effect of each planet with the Nodes. This study is essential for understanding your own chart and those of your clients

Get Your Saturn Off My Sun!
MORNING LECTURE: Introduction
AFTERNOON WORKSHOP: Into more depth, looking specifically at how Saturn functions in relationship over time, why it so present in synastry. Plus other difficult synastry combinations and why we attract them.
Why is it that we so often attract partners who have traditionally difficult astrological contacts with our personal planets? After the fun and romance, after the classical attraction of Venus and Sun and Ascendant, after the cosiness of the Moon, the real work of relationship begins.
We will explore the unconscious contract in relationship, the less obvious patterns that are often under the surface. Our experience of planets in synastry changes over time, especially with Saturn. Neptune softens and charms, giving the sense of something enchanting just out of reach. Pluto and Mars are necessary for passion, but can lead to conflict and power struggles, to a semi-permanent state of war.
Each planet, no matter how troublesome, has something to offer. And each person we meet, especially those we love, will wake something in our own chart, will call to us in a particular way. We may feel empowered or chastened, inspired or crushed, dazzled or disappointed. If we are willing to stay with it, to claim the energy woken up inside, the most difficult contacts may being the greatest rewards. How do we work with planets in synastry over time? How do we find the hidden treasure in relationship?

MORNING LECTURE
The Astrology of Body Issues
Is there a person alive that doesn’t have issues with body image, weight control or self-esteem? Why is it such a struggle to love the body we are in and how can we be kinder to our bodies rather than fight against them. In this lecture Kira will take you on a journey of weight issues, body image, eating styles, exercise habits and how this is all played out in our astrology. What help and hindrances has our Natal chart given us and how can we learn to work with these issues.
AFTERNOON WORKSHOP
Elements of Health
Come on a journey through the 4 elements and learn about their impact on our daily health. Kira will explore what each element has to offer, what gifts and lessons we can learn from our elemental makeup. We will be delving into the history of the elements, the symbolism for the 4 energetics and how to practically apply this theory to your natal chart and health. Typical of Kira’s teaching style this lecture will give you both theory of medical astrology and application for daily life. Come enjoy the energetics of elemental health and see what your chart is trying to tell you.
Kira Sutherland: Kira is an Australian Naturopath, Nutritionist, Herbalist and Astrologer. She divides her time between clients, writing and lecturing on health, wellbeing and medical astrology. Known for her vibrant, straight forward teaching style, Kira has lectured in Medical Astrology both within Australia and internationally. She is currently hibernating in the mountains of Canada with her family while writing and playing in nature as much as possible. Eclipses are historically known as transformational and often intense periods, both individually and collectively. On the personal level, Eclipses act in a particularly potent manner that can initiate rebirth, transformation, and regeneration.
During this lecture we will take a cosmic exploration into the Astrological meaning of Eclipses. Together, we will discover how the upcoming September duo relates to your personal Destiny. You will also learn how to detect the difference between a South Node vs. North Node Eclipse, and how to apply this understanding to your life.
A Master Astrologer with more than 25 years of experience, Linda Kaye holds a B.A. in Astrological Arts and Sciences from Kepler College in Seattle. Open House in March, after a few Mercury retrograde sputters the day before, was as awesome as expected, and we had a great turnout! We had tarot readers, astro-dice readers, and chart readers, and, as you can see, lots of snacks!
