Twelve Steps to Chart Analysis
Sunday, August 27, 2017
1 pm – 4 pm
In this presentation, we will discuss horoscope delineation in the western astrological tradition, from a humanistic (person-centered) and trans-personal approach. Astrology is a rich, symbolic, and archetypal language used to understand the world at large as well as the world within. It is the study of nature’s celestial cycles, the mandala of life, from the universal to the personal. There are as many ways to delineate a chart as there are astrologers.
A horoscope is a blueprint of the sky at any given moment and place on earth. The word “horoscope” stems from the Greek, hōroskopos, from hōra ‘time’ + skopos ‘observer’. It is essential to have a good understanding of the language and definition of the planets, signs, and houses. With a feel for the qualities they represent you will be able to make sense of charts.
The method I use has evolved over decades of study and practice, using diverse techniques from various traditions. Take what is useful to you and leave the rest. Above all, try various techniques to find what rings true for you. Discover how this powerful language speaks to you! (more…)

Aspect Patterns
Sunday, July 23, 2017
1 pm – 4 pm
All those shocking triangles and squares in the middle of charts – what do they mean? Learn about the major aspect patterns: the stellium, grand trines and kites, T-squares, grand crosses, yods and mystic rectangles. This presentation is geared to the intermediate student of astrology, and focuses on using elements and modes both to identify these patterns and interpret them. We’ll look at plenty of charts to see real-life examples of aspect patterns in action. Workshop includes many additional considerations, examples, suggestions and clues in chart analysis.

How Deep is the Moon
Sunday, June 25 , 2017
1 pm – 4 pm
The Moon can be called the deepest symbol in astrology. Lunar symbolism has many layers, from the feelings of the present moment, all the way to our deepest memories and conditioning. Our level of happiness, our reactions, how we care for ourselves and others, how we adapt to life are all intertwined with the natal Moon.
The rhythms of our unfolding inner life are reflected in the Progressed Moon cycles while many of the rhythms of our material life are reflected in the Part of Fortune and Part of Spirit. Links to our deepest past are reflected in the New Moon before birth and the nodes of the Moon. The Moon is truly very, very deep.
In this talk we’ll explore the Moon’s phases, the Progressed Moon cycle, the New Moon before birth, the Part of Fortune and Spirit, and the lunar nodes. Example charts will be used to demonstrate how to apply these techniques in readings.
Chet Zdrowski has been a student and practitioner of astrology since 1977. He studied for several years with the late Richard Idemon, and is deeply influenced by the work of Dane Rudhyar and Robert Hand. Since 2005 he has studied with Steven Forrest in his Evolutionary Astrology Apprenticeship program. Psychology, meditation, perennial philosophy and music are also lifelong passions. Chet’s approach is grounded in the real-world experiences of parenting, marriage, business and the work world. His greatest pleasure is to alert people to their unique gifts, to inspire them to move forward on their unique individual path, and to help them move through the patterns that limit them and cause unhappiness. Chet is also the founder and leader of the “Transpersonal Astrology Group” that meets in Fair Oaks CA. You can reach Chet at www.czastrology.com.

Lecture:
The Pathway of the Moon: The Lunar Nodes as the key to personal evolution
This talk rediscovers the work of Dane Rudhyar on the Lunar Nodes and expands upon it to create a technically simple but psychologically profound way of exploring personal evolution through the birth-chart. The Nodes will be seen as expressing the arc of personal evolution and planets conjunct and square the nodes will be explored as influences upon that personal trajectory. The talk will be illustrated with examples from Mark’s extensive client work.
Workshop:
The Outer Planets as the Higher Octave of the Inner Planets:
How transpersonal forces shape personal evolution
This workshop re-examines Rudhyar’s work on the outer planets being “higher octaves” of the inner planets. It explores the idea of the outer planets as representative of qualities within the Soul or Deep Self. This workshop introduces the idea that understanding the way that transpersonal energy shapes personal evolution, i.e. outer planets in aspect to inner planets or the lunar nodes, is the key to enable powerful transformation within the individual. The teaching will be illustrated with powerful case studies.

Out of Bound Inner Planets: Mercury, Venus and Mars
Sunday, April 23, 2017
1 pm – 4 pm
Join us for a fun lecture exploring the little-used topic of declination. Learn how the out of bounds signature can dramatically alter your understanding of Mercury, Venus and Mars. Each of these planets can be “out of bounds,” which means they have a declination that is beyond that set by the Sun. Out of bounds planets operate beyond the Sun’s jurisdiction, thus coloring their behavior.
Unlike many declination lectures, this one won’t get bogged down in technical details, but will instead focus on practical application in chart work. Tony will share many eye-opening chart examples that will leave you with a feel for the out of bounds signature and how to start applying it in your chart analysis.
Tony Howard is a digital publisher, writer and astrologer from Portland, OR. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Colorado, with a B.A. in History and Film Theory. His writing has been featured in The Mountain Astrologer and the Flare anthology Astrology: The New Generation. Tony is the founder of AstrologyUniversity.com, FindAnAstrologer.com, and Raven Dreams Press. He is the managing director of Steven Forrest’s publishing company Seven Paws Press. Email Tony at [email protected]. Tony has been researching out of bounds planets since 2012 and loves sharing his declination research in classes and webinars.

Lecture and Workshop Event
Rick Levine
March 26, 2017
Lecture (Part 1): 10 a.m – 12 noon
Workshop (Part 2): 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
12 Practical Steps to Better Chart Readings
Whether you’re doing readings for fun or money, whether you’re doing 15-minute or 90-minute sessions, the approach is the same. Einstein wrote, “99% of genius is knowing what’s important.” You have plenty of techniques in your toolbox yet seek something more in your client work. This practical hands-on workshop will improve your chart consultation skills by presenting useful concepts designed to alter your approach and enable you to more profoundly touch your clients. But concepts only go so far. This workshop will focus on where the rubber meets the road. We will gather birth data for random participants and these charts of attendees will be analyzed in real time by Rick to demonstrate natal delineation and transit interpretation techniques. Participant’s charts will be projected real time for all attendees to learn from each other’s charts. Emphasis will be on getting to what’s most important quickly, enabling attendees to speed-read a natal chart along with outer planet transits
