Lecture Details
All humans have a portion of their life energy split off and stuck in patterns of resistance and projection. Jung termed this energy the shadow. These patterns are generally invisible to us but can “grab the steering wheel” and cause us pain and confusion.
Astrology offers a powerful lens for understanding both human nature and the shadow. Combining the power of astrology with some of the tools of modern psychology, it is possible to reclaim this energy and use it for joyful living.
Chet Zdrowski
Various approaches from both astrology and psychology will be explored in this presentation. The simple but powerful 3-2-1 shadow process, will be taught as a method to liberate the “gold in the shadow”.
Chet Zdrowski began studying astrology in 1977 with the psychological approach of renowned astrologer Richard Idemon and later the transpersonal astrology of Dane Rudhyar and Steve Arroyo. For the past seven years he has studied in Steven Forrest’s Evolutionary Astrology Apprenticeship program, learning a deep fusion of psychological, transpersonal astrology with ancient metaphysics. Chet combines the depth of his understanding of astrology with a strong desire to help people discover their unique gifts and evolutionary paths.

Chart Interpretation
Following the presentation on Shadow & Modern Astrology, we’ll be looking at the chart of one of our members.
IMPORTANT! Chart Interpretation Guidelines. Thank you for becoming familiar with the attached Guidelines for Chart Interpretation Meetings. It is extremely important, especially when looking at personal charts in a group, that we create an atmosphere of safety and non-judgment in helping others learn more about their astrological map. Another key concept is that the owner of the chart is the ultimate authority on what resonates to him or her. These concepts will “go without saying” for many of us, but we’re a group open to the public and individuals vary in their sensitivity to these issues. Thank you for reading the guidelines and following them.
About Chart Interpretation Meetings: Mastery of chart reading skills is where the rubber hits the road, transferring theory to practice in astrology. The Leadership Team feels this type of meeting serves many purposes:
- Sharpen our skills on what’s important in a chart reading
- Increase our chart synthesis skills
- Increase confidence in our interpretations
- Enjoy the support of others at all ends of the learning spectrum on chart reading in an environment of non-judgment and encouragement
- Get live practice or be the live recipient of pooled astrological knowledge

We are all here to develop greater awareness about ourselves and the world.
Eric will introduce a spiritual approach to the Sun and Moon, seeing them in terms of awakening from unconsciousness. He will illustrate that there is a personal level in understanding them, but also a transpersonal one. Then, we’ll explore how the major planets function differently depending on the consciousness we bring to them. Every planet can be in service to the ego or the soul. Are we going to use astrology to cooperate with nature, or only to see to our self-interests?
Eric Meyers
Eric Meyers has an M.A. in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology (Naropa University in Boulder, CO), and is a graduate of the Steven Forrest Apprenticeship program. With a focus on spiritual awakening, he is forging a career as a unique voice for evolutionary growth. Eric released his latest book, The Astrology of Awakening, in 2012. Other works include Elements & Evolution: The Spiritual Landscape of Astrology, Uranus: The Constant of Change, and Between Past & Presence: A Spiritual View of the Moon & Sun. Eric has lectured at several astrology conferences, and has been featured in The Mountain Astrologer. When astrologers want to prove that astrology works to non-astrologers, it is common practice to have them watch personal and global events during the next Mercury Retrograde cycle. This is an effective real life demonstration, but it can have a negative result. “Oh no, not another Mercury Retrograde!” is a common reaction. But there is so much more to Mercury than your car or computer giving you anxiety attacks.
Join us to learn about taking advantage of Mercury retrograde. We shall look at shadow periods, connections between the three retrograde each year, its effect on individual & business natal charts, and much more. Because Mark never passes up a chance to bring esoteric astrology into his talks, we shall also look at the higher, spiritual vibration of Mercury and this year’s retrograde cycles. Mark has Virgo rising, so you are certain to take home useful information.

Mark Dodich has been a professional astrologer and intuitive counselor since 1980. Lecture Details
Highly fitting for this week’s Sun-Venus-Uranus conjunction in Aries, What’s Up, Uranus?, based on material from an upcoming book, is a look at the transit of Uranus through the twelve tropical signs over the last two centuries, focusing on biographical studies of various notable people and their respective Uranus conjunction and opposition transits to the natal Sun and/or Moon. The talk also includes a close study of key people and events during previous transits of Uranus through tropical Aries. If this story was The Wizard of Oz, then you might say Uranus is Dorothy and the tropical zodiac is a sort-of perpetual yellow brick road, replete with an overlapping series of adventures and challenges.
