SPECIAL EVENT:

Come by, have fun, and participate in astrology research!
This event is open to the public and designed for the “astro-curious”, as well as the already starry-eyed. The mission of Sacramento Area Astrologers is to be ambassadors for astrology in our community. We especially welcome newcomers to astrology. Our activities will include the following:
-
Introduction and Announcements
-
Presentation and Discussion: Astrology and Physical Manifestation
This year we will focus on the physical manifestation of the signs and planet energies in faces, body types and mannerisms. Inspired by the website, Astrofaces.com, we will explore their basic question: “Do people who share the three most prominent factors in a chart resemble each other?” Which leads to other questions – what if they share the same Ascendant, Moon or Sun sign? In other words, do all Aries Ascendants, for instance, wear a similar mask?
-
Contribute a Photo to Astrology Research
If you’d like to contribute your picture to the official Astrofaces research study, our talented photographer, Barbara Crow will be set up to take your picture for submission. Bring your birth date, time and location. (If you prefer, you may bring a copy of an old or new photo with a clear close view of your face from the front for us to submit, but we still need your birth info or at least your Sun Moon and Ascendant signs.)
-
Used Astrology Book and Stuff Sale
Donate books you no longer need and buy new ones for bargain prices. Remember, NCGR is a nonprofit so you can write off your donation! Find bargains on books, mugs, and other re-treasured items their last owners are ready to share.*
-
Mini-Astrology Readings with our talented astrologers*
We are offering readings for only $20 by our prominent professional astrologers: Linda Kaye, Chet Zdrowski and Barbara Ybarra. Be sure to sign-up early and bring your chart, or birth time, if possible.
-
Munch and Chat
As always, we have really good snacks!!
Bring your birth date, place and time or a copy of your chart, if you have one.
Stay, ask questions, and get to know us!
If you have friends who are curious about Astrology, bring them along. It’s FREE!
*Proceeds from these optional activities support our ongoing educational programs. NCGR-Sacramento Area astrologers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Lecture and Workshop Event
Faye Cossar
September 27, 2015
Lecture: 10 a.m – 12 noon
The Inner Child, Astrology and making now better
Workshop: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Siblings – whether we love them or hate them – they matter!
Featured Planet: Venus
MORNING LECTURE
The Inner Child, Astrology and making now better
Patterns inherited or developed early in life have a significant influence later in life – particularly very early experiences in the womb, around birth and in our first years. Childhood experiences of difficulties in family relationships can lead to troubled contacts in adulthood both at work and at home. Good family environments can foster our natural talents. The expectations we form about the world are very important. By examining horoscope factors and using the Huber Age Progression technique, Faye will discuss examples from Inner Child and Regression therapy and suggest ways to work with these patterns.
AFTERNOON WORKSHOP
Siblings – whether we love them or hate them – they matter!
The relationships formed with siblings can indicate how we relate to members of our own peer group. Much attention has been given to parent-child contacts, but sibling dynamics are equally important. Studying these factors can be valuable in improving both relationships with siblings and with our peers and intimate partners. Although it is often said that ‘we marry our mother/father’, it may perhaps be more accurate in some cases to say that ‘we marry our brother/sister’. We will use Inner Child techniques to highlight patterns so bring your horoscopes with Koch Houses so we can discuss your own examples.

Enneagram and the Yugas:
Three Maps to Conscious Living
Indra Rinzler
AND CHART INTERPRETATION
Sunday, August 23, 2015, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
FEATURED PLANET*: Mercury
Almost everyone is familiar with Astrology. It is an individual life map based on the solar system at the time we are born. Less familiar to many, but of growing popularity and importance, is the Enneagram of Personality. This talk will explain the Enneagram in basic terms and show how it works, along with a review of some Vedic astrological principles.
Enneagram on the simplest of levels is a technique used for personality typing. But it also contains ancient wisdom that can unlock sacred spiritual doors. We will explore the connection between Vedic Astrology and the Enneagram of Personality and show the value of living deeper more conscious lives. Astrology and Enneagram both discuss our personality stories that are expressive of the age we live in. But some believe that our age has changed and we will discuss the “Procession of the Equinox” and another map from ancient India called the Yugas and show our belief that Kali Yuga (the material age) has ended. We are experiencing the breakdown and dissolving of societal forms and structures that are not serving us and we can see how the energy age, Dwapara Yuga, is affecting our changing society. Acts of awakening are spontaneously happening all over our planet. The talk will offer explanations for why and offer much to ponder.

Experiential Astrology
Linda Byrd
AND CHART INTERPRETATION
Sunday, June 28, 2015, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
FEATURED PLANET*: Moon
Learning Astrology is usually a left brained activity. We show up, take copious notes and then try to remember what we learned. THIS WORKSHOP IS DIFFERENT! You will be involved in getting to know yourself through the lens of Astrology, from a feeling perspective. Find out what’s lurking in your psyche, shed light on and address what Steven Forrest so eloquently states as a fundamental issue we all face.
“Who we really are is in conflict with our social conditioning. The psyche demands resolution of this schism and the resolution is typically quite dramatic. There is resentment regarding other people’s expectations and a desire to avoid being defined by them. The universe is asking us exactly what price we’ll pay for honesty, integrity and freedom. ” ~Steven Forrest
While understanding is part of the solution, engaging feelings gives a deeper level of awareness and the key to freedom! Depending on how much time we have, these are some of the questions we will be addressing:
- When you act like this, what are you avoiding?
- How do you want people to perceive you? Why?
- What makes you most happy? Experience your tribe!
- What inner voice holds you back?

Lecture and Workshop Event
Lea and Aleksandar Imsiragic
May 16, 2015
Lecture: 10 a.m – 12 noon
AstroHealing (with Aleksandar)
Workshop: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Energy Astrology (with Lea)
LECTURE
AstroHealing
Each planetary aspect has a correlation with specific energy and emotional patterns. With AstroHealing we can heal our challenging aspects in all three levels – mental, emotional and physical. We do this by learning the correspondence of different vibrational essences (Flower, Animal and Gem essences) with planets signs, houses and planetary aspects. In this lecture we’ll understand the concept of AstroHealing and see the practical results using charts of people who have already applied this approach and see how much they have changed for better, fulfilling the real intentions of planetary aspects and positions of their natal charts.
WORKSHOP
Energy Astrology
Each man is a universe within himself. The planets, therefore, represent energy centers within the etheric body. From these energy centers, the whole destiny of the natal chart manifests. Energy Astrology describes the nature of the ten energy centers and their natal chart “signatures.” It also explains practical exercises for bringing them into balance, i.e., for correcting negative planetary scripts. It blends cutting-edge knowledge of energy exercises, planetary essences and energy psychology about the connections between chakras and planets. The Energy Astrology program was created and developed by Dr. Lea Imsiragic, M. Sci in magneto biology at the medical faculty (a new discipline that discovers how electromagnetic fields [chakras] work in our body). She combines knowledge from different fields (magneto biology, energy psychology, flower essences and acupuncture) with astrology, enabling her to create a unique system of diagnosis and healing with Energy astrology.
